Cowboys add veteran cornerback; Jets lose lineman

The Dallas Cowboys signed cornerback Aaron Glenn to a two-year deal Wednesday, providing an upgrade to their evolving defense and giving coach Bill Parcells yet another reunion.

Terms were not released.

The departure of Evans, 32, adds a bit of uncertainty to a defensive line that emerged last season as a bulwark against the run after being porous in previous years.

Jason Ferguson has already left to join the Cowboys, leaving Dewayne Robertson as the tenured member of the defensive tackle rotation with three years experience.

Spokesman Jeff Moran said the cause of Sample's death Tuesday was arterioslerotic cardiovascular disease. He was 67.
