The man shot and killed in front of the Palms on Tuesday morning has been identified by the coroner's office as 35-year-old Jason Mitchell of Las Vegas.
Micthell got into an argument with a group of acquaintances in the parking lot of the resort, and one member of the group pulled out a handgun and shot him, Metro Police said.
The gunman and his associates fled and were gone when police arrived. Police have not made any arrests as of this morning.
