Blanid F. Conrad
Blanid F. Conrad, 81, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. She was born July 30, 1923, in Iowa. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired secretary for a retail hardware business.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Stevens and Joene Conrad, both of Henderson; one son, Kevin Conrad of Santa Clarita, Calif.; two grandchildren; and one soon-to-be great-grandson.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until an 11:30 a.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the Salvation Army's Senior Day Care Center, 830 E. Lake Mead Drive, Henderson, NV 89015.
Maria Gagliardo
Maria Gagliardo, 86, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 22, 1919, in New York City. A resident for 22 years, she was a retired seamstress.
She is survived by two daughters, Sadie Durdan of Las Vegas and Nina Sigismund of Shirley, N.Y.; one son, Michael Gagliardo, and one brother, Carlo Gagliardo, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Christina Pellegrino of Las Vegas and Katherine Gambale of Alexandria, Va.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will follow in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will follow service in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
Ruth Lois Holbrook
Ruth Lois Holbrook, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Henderson. She was born Sept. 25, 1921, in Ohio. A former Pahrump resident for 10 years and most recently a Las Vegas resident for 13 years, she was a retired department store clerk and a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis of Tonopah; three daughters, Karen, Sandra and Linda; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
The family suggests contributions to an animal shelter of the donor's choice.
Bud Peterson
Bud Peterson, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 13, 1925, in Rock Island, Ill. A resident for 43 years, he was a retired insulation installer and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by five sons, Robbie Peterson and Dave Peterson, both of Las Vegas, Steve Peterson and Berry Peterson, both of California, and Mike Tessada of Connecticut; two daughters, Cheralaine Cornish of Las Vegas and Nancy Rosario of Hawaii; one brother, Ron Peterson, and one sister, Marcie Barrlow, both of California; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Georgina Regina Serio
Georgina Regina Serio, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 5, 1936, in Logan County, N.D. A resident for 40 years, she co-owned and operated the Sunshine Cafe, Darci's, Georgina's Coffee Shop and the Skillet with her husband.
She was preceded in death in 1993 by one daughter, Diane Sandbeck Tucker.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Alfonso "Frank"; one son, Donald Sandbeck of Las Vegas; two daughters, Darci Comer of Las Vegas and Debra Barr of Meadview, Ariz.; four sisters, Lillian Benesch and Marge Klinger, both of Minnesota and Rosemary Ramsett and Sandra Anderson, both of North Dakota; two brothers, Frank Bernhardt of North Dakota and Eugene Bernhardt of Arizona; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-3:45 p.m. Wednesday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Mass will be celebrated at noon Thursday in Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Wendell L. Smith
Wendell L. Smith, 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 2, 1921, in Houston. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired plumbing supplies salesman, an Army Air Corps veteran and an aerial gunner in World War II.
He is survived by one daughter, Elaine Boudreaux, and two granddaughters, Christine Boudreaux and Michelle Boudreaux, all of Las Vegas.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Helen L. Tiefs
Helen L. Tiefs, 90, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born June 26, 1914, in Lastrup, Minn. A resident for more than 30 years, she was a retired waitress.
She is survived by three sisters, Loraine Lindemann and Marietta Wright, both of St. Paul, Minn., and Hildegarde Apitz of Portland, Ore.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.
The family suggests Masses read in her name.
