The Seattle Seahawks added depth to their secondary, reportedly agreeing to terms with free agent cornerback Andre Dyson on Thursday.
According to ESPN.com, Dyson agreed to a five-year, $17.5 million contract that includes a $3 million signing bonus and about $6 million in guarantees. A Seahawks spokesman couldn't confirm the deal.
Dyson played his first four years with the Tennessee Titans, starting 52 of 64 games. Last season, he had a career-high six interceptions. He has a career-high 65 tackles in 2003.
Dyson will join a talented but young secondary in Seattle, with cornerback Marcus Trufant and safeties Michael Boulware and Ken Hamlin, none of whom is older than 25.
Seattle also signed veteran wide receiver Jerome Pathon restricted free agent cornerback Kelly Herndon to a five-year, $15 million contract last month, after Denver chose not to match the offer.
