Earthfaire

The second annual Summerlin Earthfaire will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Summerlin Centre Community Park, 1800 S. Town Center Drive. Admission is free and features musical entertainment, pet adoption, food and learning activities for children and adults. 791-4412.

Festival

Clark County Parks and Community Services and the International Festival Association will host an international food and folklife festival from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Clark County Government Center Ampitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. Admission is free. 455-8242.

Biographer

Biographer Virginia Spencer Carr will read selections from her books at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at UNLV's Marjorie Barrick Museum Auditorium as part of the "Spring Reading" series. Admission is free. 895-3101.

'Come On Out'

Las Vegas presents "Come On Out and See Us," a centennial event, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the East Las Vegas Community/Senior Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave. Admission is free, and the event features clowns, live entertainment, carnival games and information booths. 304-0512 or 229-4904.

Dance

Earth Day

Spring Mountain Ranch State Park sponsors the following events for Earth Day. All events take place at the park and are free:

11 a.m. Sunday -- How to properly plant and care for a new tree.

2 p.m. Saturday -- "Leave-no-trace" training course.

11 a.m. Saturday -- How to properly prune a tree and keep it healthy.

2 p.m. Sunday -- Guided nature hike through the Ash Grove Trail.

1 p.m. Sunday -- The care and handling of desert tortoises.

Earth Day

Seniors age 50 and older are invited to celebrate Earth Day, complete with a complimentary lunch, at 11:30 a.m. today at the Derfelt Senior Citizens Center, 3343 W. Washington Ave. Three flower beds will be planted. Admission is free. 229-6601.

Crafts class
