Health fair set at Lummis School
Lummis Elementary School, 9000 Hillpointe in Summerlin, will host a Community Health and Fitness Fair 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the school.
Booths will offer free blood pressure checks, pulmonary function tests for adults, asthma education for kids and eye screening.
Mini CPR courses and yoga and aerobics demonstrations also will be available. The Firefighters of Education will provide information on BMX and bicycle safety.

AIDS Awareness tour hits Saturday
As part of the Journey of Hope AIDS Awareness Tour youngsters will hold a presentation at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cambridge Community Center, 3930 Cambridge St., Suite 109.
The young advocates have been affected by HIV and AIDS either through their own illness, through family members living with the disease, or by having lost loved ones to AIDS.

The Springsational Heritage Parade
will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday in downtown Henderson. The parade will begin at noon on Water Street and go from Ocean Avenue to Victory Road. The event will feature a classic car show, mayor and council pancake breakfast and a parade with actor Tony Curtis as grand marshal, followed by a chili cook-off.
