Letter: More examples of wasted money
Thursday, April 21, 2005 | 9:20 a.m.
We have to wonder how many millions that the taxpayer lost on land deals from the airport. Then we see where the county has lost millions more on the Regional Justice Center that is years behind on being built. And we see now where the city of Las Vegas has lost more than $3 million on a golf course and officials are trying to figure if it is worth suing over.
Is there something wrong here? We elect these people to spend tax dollars the best way, and then they turn around and show they can waste it. Then they have the gall to ask for more. This just shows that the more goverment takes away from you, the more it wants.
It makes you wonder how elected officials run their own home budgets. They sure do not know how to handle taxpayers' money. Maybe they ought to go back to school and take Money Management 101.
