Age 65 to 85? UNLV needs you

The UNLV Psychology Department is seeking local residents between the ages of 65 and 85 to participate in two new research studies being conducted by the cognition in aging research group.

The first study involves reading and listening to various quantities of information and completing a series of cognitive tasks. The study is open to all individuals with good hearing and corrected-to-normal vision.

The second study is open to bilingual individuals with good hearing and corrected-to-normal vision, and involves reading and listening to health-related information and completing a series of memory land cognitive tasks.

Dragon Boat Festival Saturday

Dragon Boat Festival and Races will begin with the "Dotting of the Eye ceremony" 7 p.m. Friday and the races will begin 10 a.m. Saturday on Lake Las Vegas.

Fifteen teams competing in a battle of technique, synchronicity and team-spirit of the dragon races on the waters of Lake Las Vegas.

of Hotel Administration a will present the 31st annual UNLVino today through Saturday. The event will begin with a "Bubble-licious Champagne Tasting" event from 7 to 10 p.m. today.
