Burglar alarm at DMV office proves to be false
Friday, April 15, 2005 | 11:13 a.m.
Metro Police responding to a burglary alarm at the Department of Motor Vehicles brancho on Flamingo Road at Cimarron Road early this morning found that an employee had apparently left a door unlocked.
The alarm went off at 4:11 a.m. at 8250 W. Flamingo Road. Officers discovered a door unsecured but nothing disturbed inside the building, police said. They ruled it a false alarm.
On March 7, computer, records, printing equipment and 1,700 blank driver's licenses were stolen from the DMV at 4110 Donovan Way near Craig Road and Interstate 15 in North Las Vegas. No arrests had been reported in that case as of this morning.
