Donald Behlke

Donald Behlke, 65, of Las Vegas died April 1 in a local hospital. He was born May 14, 1939, in Wisconsin. A resident for 15 years, he was a warehouseman in the gaming industry.

He is survived by four sons, Thomas, Tim, Gary and Jeff; two daughters, Jody and Tammie; his mother, Louise; one brother, Joe; one sister, Darlene; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Julia P. Brower

Julia P. Brower, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born June 15, 1923, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, William Brower of Oakdale, Pa., James Brower of Spring Hill, Fla., and John Brower of Washington, Pa.; one daughter, Sharon Brower of Las Vegas; two brothers, Louis Yuhas of Las Vegas and Emery Yuhas of Pennsylvania; one sister, Barbara Tuzzo of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Patricio Castro Jr.

Patricio Castro Jr., 25, of North Las Vegas died April 2 in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 10, 1980, in California. A resident for 12 years, he was a car wash attendant.

He is survived by his wife, Mariana Mojarro, his parents, Elda and Patricio Castro Sr., and three sisters, Maria Castro, Angelica Castro and Vanessa Castro, all of North Las Vegas; and two brothers, Anthony Castro of North Las Vegas and Hugo Castro of California.

Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Rosary will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Services will be noon Saturday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mariano Cabasal Corpuz

Mariano Cabasal Corpuz, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 9, 1921, in Manila, Philippines. A resident for five years, he was a retired Army private and World War II veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Asuncion of Westminster, Calif.; three sons, Rafael S. Corpuz of Las Vegas and Perfecto Corpuz and Leonardo Corpuz, both of Westminster; two daughters, Merilyn Corpuz and Lorena Corpuz, both of Manila; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon until a 3 p.m. service Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Alice Duch

Alice Duch, 81, of Las Vegas, died March 26, in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 1, 1924, in Rankin, Pa. A longtime resident, she was a day care provider.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jan Stoufer.

She is survived by two sisters, Irene Dean of Chicago and Mary Trifanoff of Pittsburgh; and one brother, Eward Duch of Columbia, S.C.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Myrtle V. Edner

Myrtle V. Edner, 98, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Banning, Calif. She was born Oct. 10, 1906, in Minnesota. A resident for 48 years, she was a clothing store owner.

She is survived by two sons, Jerome Edner of Banning and Garth Edner of Duck Creek, Utah; one daughter, Muriel Lee Fagan of Torrance, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9-10 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Olive H. Ferry

Olive H. Ferry, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born April 11, 1920, in Tacoma, Wash. A resident for 47 years, she was a retired bank teller.

She is survived by her husband, Charles B.; and one sister, Amy Britt of Las Vegas.

Francis J. Gillan

Francis J. Gillan, 58, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Boston. He was born Feb. 3, 1947, in Pawtucket, R.I. A resident for three years, he was a retired medical supply salesman and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Ann; three sons, Ryan Gillan, Ian Gillan and Sean Gillan, all of Las Vegas; his father, James Vincent Gillan of Central Falls, R.I.; one sister, Roberta Gillan-Gentes of Sewell, N.J.; and one granddaughter.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

Harry Lee Jackson

Harry Lee Jackson, 90, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 11, 1914, in Salisbury, Md. A resident for four years, he was a retired artist and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Lee Jackson Jr. of Escondido, Calif., and Michael B. Jackson Sr. of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Tony Martinez

Tony Martinez, 84, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born April 16, 1920, in Quezon City, Philippines. A resident for five years, he was a retired travel agent.

He is survived by his wife, Lourdes; one daughter, Antoinette Valla of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and one son, Antonio Martinez Jr. of Montgomery Village, Md.

Sybil B. Mervis

Sybil B. Mervis, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born July 6, 1916, in Canada. A resident for more than 25 years, she was a retired bookkeeper for a delicatessen.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, handled arrangements.

Rhoda Osborne

Rhoda Osborne, 90, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born July 7, 1914, in Boston. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired medical assistant.

She is survived by one niece, Anita Harris of Las Vegas.

Mary A. Puryear Preston

Mary A. Puryear Preston, 50, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 7, 1954, in Newellton, La. A resident for 49 years, she was a casino cook.

She is survived by her husband, John; two sons, Donald Jones of Las Vegas and Jevario Preston of North Las Vegas; four daughters, Claudia Jones, Malika Jones and Makita Puryear, all of Las Vegas, and Jontovia Preston of North Las Vegas; four brothers, Willie Jones Jr. and Terry Jones, both of Las Vegas, Charles Jones of Louisiana and Michael Jones of North Las Vegas; three sisters, Brenda Cook, Patrice Jones and Shirley Rideout, all of Las Vegas; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Victory Missionary Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park.

James E. Skidmore

James E. Skidmore, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 15, 1929, in Qulin, Mo. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired aircraft industry mechanic and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Elly; one son, Craig Skidmore of California; one daughter, Renell Skidmore; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Ralph W. Smith

Ralph W. Smith, 94, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 22, 1911, in Revillo, S.D. A resident for 29 years, he was a retired carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Helen M.; two daughters, Jean Wyman of Oceanside, Calif., and Andy Smith of Alpine, Calif.; three sons, William J. Smith of Salt Lake City and Carl J. Smith and Thomas R. Smith, both of Greeley, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5:30-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Richard I. Spiece

Richard I. Spiece, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 25, 1916, in Roann, Ind. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired retail merchant and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Bette; three sons, Jim Spiece of Fort Wayne, Ind., Tom Spiece of Wabash, Ind., and William Spiece of Kokomo, Ind.; one daughter, Cynthia Hicks of Phoenix; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8601 Del Webb Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

James Edward Tate Jr.

James Edward Tate Jr., 69, of North Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born July 9, 1935, in Knoxville, Tenn. A resident for 42 years, he was a hotel porter supervisor and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine; three sons; three daughters; three sisters; three brothers; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Johanna Ziegelhuber

Johanna Ziegelhuber, 89, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 2, 1916, in Vienna, Austria. A resident for 41 years, she was a retired hotel executive housekeeper.

She is survived by one daughter, Monika Eddy of Henderson; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
