A rendering of MGM Mirage's proposed Project CityCenter, a $4.7 billion complex planned for the site of the company's Boardwalk property south of Bellagio was released recently. The rendering is a side view of the 4,000 hotel rooms that would be built with the main casino. Not shown are other adjacent buildings that would house boutique hotels managed by various hotel companies as well as condo units. MGM Mirage has signed on Cesar Pelli to design CityCenter's hotel and casino. Cesar Pelli & Associates has designed several high-rise office buildings in major cities and was also involved in designing the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the South Coast Repertory Theater in Costa Mesa, Calif.
