Loretta C. Cooper
Loretta C. Cooper, 54, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. She was born April 23, 1950, in Pagosa Springs, Colo. A resident for 50 years, she was a waitress.
She is survived by her husband, Danny; one daughter, Keri Cooper of Henderson; two sons, Daniel Cooper of Henderson and Adrian Gove of Phoenix; one brother, Eddie Valdez of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
Wendell Keith Curry
Wendell Keith Curry, 46, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born July 7, 1958, in Pell City, Ala. A resident for 13 years, he was disabled.
He is survived by his mother, Jessie Lee Smith of Las Vegas; two sisters, Nancy Smith Bastien of Las Vegas and Rotunda Foreman of Pell City, Ala.; three brothers, Carlton Curry of Detroit and Lesley Foreman Jr. and Roy Foreman, both of Pell City.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Noella M. Dube
Noella M. Dube, 85, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born July 29, 1919, in Wotton, Quebec. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired battery assembler.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Quinlan of Henderson and Darlene A. Dube of Seattle; one son, Ronald H. Dube of Ossining, N.Y.; one sister, Cecile Fortier of Temecula, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled 45 minutes prior to a 10 a.m. service Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Henry M. Garrido
Henry M. Garrido, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born May 13, 1934, in San Francisco. A resident for 25 years, he retired as an Army master sergeant after 20 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Concepcion; one son, David A. Garrido of Chester, Calif.; and two brothers, Richard Garrido of Henderson and Gerald Garrido of Roxboro, N.C.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
John George Genis
John George Genis, 89, of Clinton, Wash., died Sunday in a Washington care center. He was born May 29, 1915, in Victoria, British Columbia. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a barber, built commercial buildings and hotels in the Bahamas, Florida, Washington, D.C., and Las Vegas. He was a Navy Seabee who served in the South Pacific and was a member of Masonic Englewood Lodge 166 and Scottish Rite Freemasonry 320, both in Denver, Zelzah Shrine Temple of Las Vegas and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; one son, J.M. Genis of Kentucky; one daughter, Janie Porter of Texas; one brother, Bobby of Arizona; one sister, Olga of Trinidad, Colo.; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Visser Funeral Home, Langley, Wash., is handling arrangements.

Alvin 'Al' Green
Alvin "Al" Green, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 5, 1929, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A resident for five years, he was a retired attorney, a Korean War Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association.
He is survived by his wife, Faye; one daughter, Wendy Green of Palm Desert, Calif.; two sons, Jeff Green of Sparks and Bruce Green of Las Vegas; two sisters, Maureen Feldman and Sharon Levine, both of Northridge, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services were scheduled at noon today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Gunther Holler
Gunther Holler, 71, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. He was born June 1, 1933, in Karlsruhe, Germany. A resident for seven years, he was the retired owner-operator of a construction company.
He is survived by his wife, Leni; one son, Bernd Holler of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Road. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Billy K. Jones
Billy K. Jones, 73, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 12, 1931, in Los Angeles. A resident for two years, he was a retired Air Force senior master sergeant and a Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Faviye "Faye"; one son, Kim; and two daughters, Julie and Shellie.
Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Louise M. Kirkwood
Louise M. Kirkwood, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 13, 1925, in Kemmerer, Wyo. A resident for 51 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, George; three daughters, Paulette Rodgers and Patty Barnes, both of Las Vegas, and Kathleen Waltermeyer of Olympia, Wash.; two sons, James Kirkwood and George "Eddie" Kirkwood of Las Vegas; one brother, John Fagnant of Kemmerer; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 7 p.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Graveside services will be noon Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Lucille Owens
Lucille Owens, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born March 6, 1924, in Livingston, Ky. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired waitress.
She is survived by her companion, Lee Boring of Las Vegas; and three sisters.

Lewis H. Shupe
Lewis H. Shupe, 81, of Las Vegas and Reno died Friday. He was born Jan. 5, 1924, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 54 years, he was an employee at Titanium Metals, a World War II veteran who served in the Pacific Theater and was a founding member of Black Mountain Golf & Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, Doris Ham Shupe, his third wife, Dorothy McBeath Shupe, and his companion, Suzanne Y. Barlow.
He is survived by one son, Lewis H. Shupe Jr. of Las Vegas; two daughters, Janis Pollen and Linda Gilman, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Les Shupe of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Jack Swift
Jack Swift, 74, of Las Vegas died April 3 in a local care center. A technician, he was born Sept. 25, 1930, in California.
He is survived by his mother, Celia Rodriguez.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the Neighborhood Recreation Center, 1638 N. Bruce St., North Las Vegas. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
