Las Vegas mayor gets his own CD

A company linked to Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman's past ethical troubles is releasing a CD this week that includes about 90 minutes of video on Goodman and the city, intended to be part of the mayor's press kit, the company announced Monday.
Goodman said he used his campaign funds to pay for the CD, which he said cost about $20,000. The mayor said he has not seen the product yet.
The CD was produced by iMedia International, which formed the company iPolitix in partnership with Las Vegas Councilman Michael Mack and Goodman's son Ross.
In May 2004, the state Ethics Commission found that Mayor Goodman violated the law when he hosted a cocktail party to promote iPolitix during the January 2004 U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting in Washington, D.C. The commission decided that Goodman used his name and title to benefit his son. Goodman has since appealed the decision to District Court.
Scott Kapp, president of iMedia, said iPolitix never made a sale and has been dissolved.
Kapp said the new CD should be available by the end of the week.
The CD is interactive and will allow viewers to click through its contents, which includes a biography of the mayor, a collection of clips from Goodman's television appearances, Goodman's campaign commercials, as well as sections devoted to the city's centennial celebration and the vacant city-owned 61 acres on the west side of downtown, said Kapp and Andrew Walkinshaw, a producer for iMedia who worked on Goodman's disk.
"Like an actor has his reel, this is the mayor's reel," Walkinshaw said.
