Mike C. Baltazar

Mike C. Baltazar, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1930, in the Philippines. A resident for four years, he was a retired personnel manager for the airport.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Zenaida of Las Vegas.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Kenneth Edward Cornilliac

Kenneth Edward Cornilliac, 53, of Las Vegas died March 24 in Las Vegas. He was born July 25, 1951, in Los Angeles. A resident for 25 years, he was a slot floorman and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by one son, Tom Cornilliac of Bend, Ore.; two daughters, April Valenti of Bend and Heather Stimmell of Las Vegas; his parents, Thomas and Marge Cornilliac of Flagstaff, Ariz.; one brother, Jon Cornilliac of California; one sister, Karen Brain of Wyoming; and one grandson.

Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.

Bennie M. Gentry

Bennie M. Gentry, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 13, 1933, in Philadelphia, Miss. A resident for more than 50 years, he was a retired casino shift manager and a Korean War Army and Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by one son, Robert Gentry, and one daughter, Kathy Gentry, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

James E. Hale

James E. Hale, 72, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born Nov. 16, 1932, in Michigan. A resident for five years, he was a retired Army veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Desert Willow Men's Golf Association at McDonald Ranch.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; three sons, Jim Hale, David Hale and Patrick Hale; two daughters, Vicky White and Linda Robles; six grandchildren; and five great-granchildren.

A memorial service will be 11:20 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Mary Henyard

Mary Henyard, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 1, 1919, in Louisiana. A resident for 46 years, she was a hotel guest room attendant.

She is survived by one daughter, Edna Jenkins of North Las Vegas; two sons, Harry Tucker of North Las Vegas and Jesse Henyard of California; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be noon-5 p.m. Sunday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Thomas and Jones Chapel. Burial will be in Davis' Memorial Park.

Lorraine C. Laurin

Lorraine C. Laurin, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 6, 1918, in Portage, Wis. A resident for five months, she was a retired food server.

She is survived by one daughter, Katherine Daigle of Las Vegas; one sister, Katherine Case of LaCrosse, Wis.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.

Terri Mendoza

Terri Mendoza, 55, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 6, 1949, in Honolulu. A resident for five years, she was a retired real estate agent.

She is survived by her husband, Stanford, one daughter, Michelle Rose, and one son, Stanford Mendoza Jr., all of Honolulu; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until a 2 p.m. service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Sheila Marie Quarles

Sheila Marie Quarles, 18, of Las Vegas died March 24 in Las Vegas. She was was born June 23, 1986, in Las Vegas. She was a supervisor at Starbucks.

She is survived by her mother, Debra Quarles of Las Vegas; her father, Ralph Fuller Jr. of North Las Vegas; six brothers, Ralph Quarles, Marquid Chilton, Xavier Quarles, Deverick Jones and Quinton James, all of Las Vegas, and Quavonta Fuller of North Las Vegas; two sisters, Latasha James and Miracle Quarles, both of Las Vegas; her grandparents, Alice Williams of North Las Vegas and Doyle Quarles of Las Vegas.

Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Roy Scott

Roy Scott, 83, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1922, in Poplar Bluff, Mo. A resident for 48 years, he was a retired hotel baker and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae; three daughters, Roysteen Scott Harris and Betty Scott Tooks, both of Chicago, and Debra Scott Stanfield of Pine Bluff Ark.; three sons, Merlin Scott of Chicago, Robert Albert Scott of North Las Vegas and Stanley Rubin Scott of Pine Bluff; one sister, Margaret Nichleson of Pine Bluff; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to a 1 p.m. service Wednesday in First Baptist Church, 4400 W. Oakey Blvd. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. in Palm Memorial Park, Las Vegas.

William K. Scott

William K. Scott, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Oct. 4, 1919, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired salesman in the entertainment industry and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha; two sons, Richard of Oregon and Gary of Hawaii; and two grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Johanna Hildegard Skwirut

Johanna Hildegard Skwirut, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 11, 1928, in Germany. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one brother, Hans Lorenz, and one sister, Renate Heldmann, both of Germany.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
