Letter: Administration lies about Iraq

President Bush and Vice President Cheney are not being truthful when they say we are winning the war in Iraq. More than a thousand of our men and women in the service, and civilian workers, have been killed and thousands wounded. Insurgents and terrorists have taken over many parts of Iraq. Sending armed forces into Iraq was like a magnet drawing all the terrorists and insurgents there.

Many innocent people of Iraq are suffering such daily occurrences as a young boy crying, waiting to take possession of his brother's body for burial; a mother and two children, with one of the children being treated for shrapnel wounds; paramedics and residents picking up scattered body parts and putting them in boxes.

America needs new leadership, someone who is truthful. The war in Iraq has not been justified. Rather, it's turned out to be a big mistake.
