Robert Berns
Robert Berns, 63, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 26, 1941, in St. Louis. A resident for one year, he was a retired computer scientist and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; one daughter, Dr. Sara Berns of Seattle; one son, Adam Berns of San Jose, Calif.; his mother, Ethel Berns, one sister, Aileen Ticker, and one brother, Melford Berns, all of St. Louis.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
Louise Howell
Louise Howell, 79, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 13, 1925, in Neosho, Mo. A resident for one year, she was a retired seamstress.
She is survived by one daughter, Lana S. Bertran of Henderson; and one sister, Marjorie Fritsch of Kingsville, Texas.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Montrell D. Robinson
Montrell D. Robinson, 25, of Las Vegas died Sept. 11 in Las Vegas. He was born April 3, 1979, in Las Vegas. He was a retail sales clerk and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his father, David Harris of Culver City, Calif.; his mother, Edna Joseph, one sister, Ashley Joseph, and his grandparents, Murray and Barbara Robinson, all of Las Vegas.
Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane, handled arrangements.
Charles George Studer Jr.
Charles George Studer Jr., 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born March 20, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired casino shift supervisor.
He is survived by one son, Marc Studer of Las Vegas; one stepson, Phillip Gibbons of Roseville, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Joseph L. Thomas
Joseph L. Thomas, 81, of Boulder City died Wednesday in Boulder City. He was born April 21, 1923, in East Liverpool, Ohio. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired bowling lanes mechanic and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Doris J.; one daughter, Joy of Ohio; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11:20 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Michael Tino
Michael Tino, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 18, 1934, in West Covina, Calif. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired supervisor for a manufacturing firm, a veteran and a member of Willowburke Country Club Golf Association.
He is survived by four sons, Robert M.; Nick A.; James J.; and Phillip A.; three brothers, Frank, John and Ron; seven sisters, Frances, Julia, Lillian, Marie, Mary, Josie and Dorothy; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
The family suggests donations to St. Jude Research Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
