Marie A. DeMauro

Marie A. DeMauro, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. A homemaker, she was born Feb. 8, 1921, in Pittsburgh.

She is survived by one son, Ronald Kobus of Las Vegas; 36 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Gregory J. Digles

Gregory J. Digles, 56, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1948, in Chicago. A resident for two years, he was a retired detective, a member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club and the Hog Club.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; two stepdaughters, Jenny Hughes of California and Denise Digles of Chicago; and one stepson, John Digles of Chicago.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 6 p.m. vigil today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Rita Marie Hacker

Rita Marie Hacker, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 26, 1933, in Sandusky, Ohio. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired retail food server.

She is survived by her husband, Felix; three daughters, Renee Fendley of Torrance, Calif., and Deanna Banks and Michelle Kelsey, both of Las Vegas; three sisters, Rose Thorpe of Indianapolis, Janet Nehls and Flo of Bullhead City, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday with a 5 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 220 N. 14 St. Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Robert George Hartle

Robert George Hartle, 76, of Hughesville, Md., died Thursday. He was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Madison Township, N.J. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a retired Navy chief petty officer and a post office worker.

He is survived by two daughters, Robin L. Fairchild of Hughesville and Karolee M. D'Antona-Dunn of California; one brother, Donald Hartle of New Jersey; and seven grandchildren.

Eberwein Funeral Services, White Plains, Md., is handling arrangements.

Margaret Hightower

Margaret Hightower, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 20, 1927, in Fulton, N.Y. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired waitress.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Hightower and Sharon Noble, and one brother, Bill Hannon, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Stella Woods of Oswego, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Herman D. Husted

Herman D. Husted, 84, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born March 2, 1920, in Los Anamas, Colo. A resident for four years, he was a retired newspaper printer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Helena; two daughters, Rosa Foutz of Shawnee, Okla., and Jennifer Reed of Lafayette, La.; one son, John Husted of Laurel, Miss.; one stepson, the Rev. Lou Perreault of Henderson; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Colleen Y. Lamuraglia

Colleen Y. Lamuraglia, 40, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 22, 1963, in Elmira, N.Y. A resident for many years, she was a senior management analyst for the government and an Air Force veteran.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; one son, M. Morgan Lamuraglia of Las Vegas; and her father, Norman Copp of Bradenton, Fla.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

James E. Martin

James E. Martin, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Pompeii, Mich. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a plating company and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Sue Martin of Kamuela, Hawaii; his ex-wife, Marilynn Martin of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling private arrangements.

Ralph A. Medina Jr.

Ralph A. Medina Jr., 74, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 6, 1930, in Chicago. A resident for nine years, he was a retired office clerk for a railroad and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; four sons, Ralph Medina III, Michael Medina, Joe Medina and Steven Medina, all of Henderson; three daughters, Linda Hutchens of Henderson, Merleen Quinboyen of Cypress, Calif., and Gloria Futala of Keller, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11:20 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., handled arrangements.

Elmer Perry III

Elmer Perry III, 19, of North Las Vegas died Saturday. He was born Dec. 27, 1984, in Las Vegas. He was a Rancho High School graduate.

He is survived by his father, Elmer Perry Jr., and his mother, Jennifer Harris, both of North Las Vegas; four sisters, Antoinette Harris and Alisha Jackson, both of Las Vegas, Cherisse Williams of St. Louis and Audrey Cartwell of Wichita, Kan.; four brothers, Derrick Perry of Mississippi, Frederick Perry of Hartford, Conn., Terence Perry of South Carolina and Terry Perry of St. Louis; his grandmother, Josephine DeMille of Las Vegas; and his great-grandmother, Helen Morgan of North Las Vegas.

Bruce W. Preiss

Bruce W. Preiss, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 2, 1937, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for six years, he was a retired mimeograph operator.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth Preiss, and one sister, Sandy Hahnenkratt, both of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Elwood Pyne

Elwood Pyne, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 10, 1935, in Providence, R.I. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired machinist.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; one daughter, Susan Carter of Las Vegas; one son, Alan Pyne of East Providence; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until a noon service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be private.

Margaret L. Rogers

Margaret L. Rogers, 84, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Colorado Springs. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen D. Miller of Atascadero, Calif., and Deborah Lynn Schremp of California; two sons, Timothy J. Rogers of Sapulpa, Okla., and Michael W. Rogers of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Denzil Q. Sandquist Jr.

Denzil Q. Sandquist Jr., 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born March 19, 1931, in Kewanee, Ill. A former Las Vegas resident for 46 years, he was a retired deputy sheriff and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; one daughter, Sandi Waddell of Las Vegas; one son, Richard Hutchins of Henderson; three stepdaughters, Suzanne Reynolds and Pamala Luchock, both of Dolan Springs, Ariz., and Jackie Devoe of Las Vegas; two stepsons, Michael Landry of St. Paul, Minn., and Donald Landry of Bullhead City, Ariz.; one sister, Donna Hull of Glendora, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Helen Sferruzzo

Helen Sferruzzo, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 6, 1930, in New York. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, James B.
