Theodore Abrahams

Theodore Abrahams, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born May 11, 1923, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 8 1/2 years, he was a retired owner in the retail industry, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and was a member of Chavurim through the Jewish Federation.

He is survived by his wife, Estelle; two sons, Mark Abrahams of Centerville, Del., and Howard Abrahams of Atlanta; one sister, Evelyn Kiener of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.

Donald C. Crawford

Donald C. Crawford, 87, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in North Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 22, 1916, in Hooker, Okla. A resident for 39 years, he was a bus driver and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Claudene; one son, Darrel D. Crawford of North Las Vegas; two daughters,Gail Crawford of Arizona and Diane Hoge of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled noon-5 p.m. Tuesday and 3-6 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Eduardo C. Glover

Eduardo C. Glover, 52, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 17, 1952, in the Philippines. A resident for 10 years, he was a hospital custodian.

He is survived by his wife, Nenita; three daughters, Diane Glover and Darlene Glover, both of Oxnard, Calif., and Rachelle Reyes of the Philippines; one son, Gary Reyes Jr. of the Philippines; one brother, Elizardo Glover of San Diego; three sisters, Amanda Glover-Diwa, Lillian Glover-Cardenas and Lucia Glover-Marcelino, both of Oxnard; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Burial will be in Ventura, Calif.

Rosario Gonzalez

Rosario Gonzalez, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Dec. 21, 1919, in Mexico.

She is survived by one daughter, Lydia Wood of Henderson; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling private arrangements.

Robert Louis Guyette

Robert Louis Guyette, 77, of Boulder City died Wednesday in Cedar Mountain, Utah. He was born Dec. 12, 1926, in Gary, Ind. A resident for 61 years, he was a painting foreman for the Bureau of Reclamation at Hoover Dam, attended Basic High School in Henderson and was a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Eva; three stepdaughters, Kathy Price, Peggy Eastman and Laurie Newmiller; one brother, David Guyette; one sister, Marylou Wardlaw; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 90 minutes prior to an 11 a.m. service Saturday in the LDS Fifth Street chapel. Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Parmounpoun Hinote

Parmounpoun Hinote, 58, of Las Vegas died Aug. 21 in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 5, 1946, in Bangkok, Thailand. A resident for two years, she was a seamstress for an upholstery company.

She is survived by her husband, Terrence; one daughter, Pratnar Prescott of Danville, Va.; one son, Phillip Reed of Orlando, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Vickie Jo Kanuck

Vickie Jo Kanuck, 52, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born March 10, 1952, in Oakland, Calif. A resident for eight years, she was a hotel registration clerk.

She is survived by one son, Nicholas Kanuck of Modesto, Calif.; one daughter, Lori Gomez, her mother, Jessie Rodrigues, and her companion, Bill Hawkley, all of Henderson; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Nickolas Mazzone Jr.

Nickolas Mazzone Jr., 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 25, 1930, in Erie, Pa. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired barber and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; one son, Nickolas Mazzone III of Huntington Beach, Calif.; three daughters, Helen Farber of Riverside, Calif., Elizabeth Mastro of Garden Grove, Calif., and Ann Marie Moreno of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Katherryn McCauliff

Katherryn McCauliff, 86, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born July 11, 1918, in Fort Worth, Texas. A resident for six years, she was a retired model.

She is survived by one son, Gene McCauliff of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Pamela Ledesma McMillen

Pamela Ledesma McMillen, 53, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. A customer service representative in the hotel industry, she was born Jan. 14, 1951, in the Philippines.

She is survived by one son, Justin Mulholland; three daughters, Jasmine McMillen, Sheila Hankins and Melanie McMillen; her mother, Alberta Ledesma; four brothers, Doming Ledesma, Rosie Ledesma, Junior Ledesma and Felix Ledesma; five sisters, Maria, Josie, Mercy, Maggie and MaryLou; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service Wednesday at Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

John J. Novak

John J. Novak, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 15, 1922, in Fond du Lac, Wis. A resident for 57 years, he was owner of Better Living Inc., was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a member of Retired Officers Club, past president of the Exchange Club and the YMCA.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; one daughter, Jill Page of Rocklin, Calif.; and two brothers, William Novak of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Alex Novak of Fremont, Calif.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Marcela Olsen

Marcela Olsen, 57, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 16, 1947, in Chile. A resident for two years, she was a customer service representative.

She is survived by her husband, Carlos; one daughter, Ximena Gilbert, and two sons, Adrian Olsen and Alex Olsen, all of Henderson; her mother, Adrianna Lira, two brothers, Leon Lira and Luis Lira, and three sisters, Adrianna Lira, Ximena Lira and Pia Lira, all of Chile; and two grandchildren.

Services will be noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Jeraline E. Orme

Jeraline E. Orme, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 31, 1934, in Kansas City, Kan. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by five sons, Kenneth Bernard Orme, Tony Del Orme and James Eugene Orme, all of Seattle, Johnny Lee Orme of Denver and Gary Dean Orme; three daughters, Karen Orme-Diop, Terresa Orme and Lenore Orme, all of Las Vegas; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Jose Luis Ortega

Jose Luis Ortega, 23, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 8, 1981, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a laborer.

He is survived by his wife, Jassica Becerra, and his mother, Fanny Ortega, both of Pahrump; his father, Ramon Ortega, and one sister, Rosie Ortega, both of Las Vegas; and three brothers, Eddie Ortega and Ramon Ortega, both of Las Vegas, and Jose Becerra of Pahrump.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Memorial Park.

Henry Prather Jr.

Henry Prather Jr., 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Oct. 28, 1919, in Memphis. A resident for 61 years, he was a retired machinist for a cinder block manufacturer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha; four daughters, Thelma Kinchen, Catherine Prather and Willie Prather, all of Las Vegas, and Robin Rogers of Oakland, Calif.; two sons, Henry Prather III and Winston E. Prather, both of Las Vegas; six sisters, Callie Gay of Longview, Texas, Johnnie Head of Shreveport, La., Lolor Dozier of Kansas City, Kan., Frances Collins of Fresno, Calif., Loyal D. Prather of Vivian, La., and Helen Jackson of Las Vegas; one brother, James C. Prather of Kansas City; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Main.

Buddy Lee Shupe Sr.

Buddy Lee Shupe Sr., 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 1, 1932, in Texas. A resident for 35 years, he was a plasterer in the construction industry.

He is survived by one son, Buddy Lee Shupe Jr. of Lakeside, Calif.; two daughters, Georgetta Shupe of Winnemucca and Melody Shupe of Lakeside; one brother, Benjamin Shupe; two sisters, Evelyn Davis of New Mexico and Sis Dietz of Colorado; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
