The Las Vegas Veterans Centennial Committee representing 17 independent veterans organizations in Clark County will hold the Red, White and Blue Barbecue from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Freedom Park, at the corner of Washington Avenue and Mojave Road.
The event will honor the partnership between veterans and labor.
The program will include a concert featuring local headliners and independent vendor booths.
An optional donation of $20 is being asked, with the net proceeds going to the Veterans Centennial Committee, which has been formed to help Las Vegas celebrate its centennial in 2005 by highlighting the contributions veterans have made in the growth and popularity of Las Vegas.
Also scheduled is a veterans job fair, voter registration, drawings and prizes.
