Letter: Wet ‘n Wild will be missed
Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004 | 8:33 a.m.
Upon reading the Sun's Aug. 12 article about this being the last year for Wet 'n Wild so another casino can be built, I was really upset.
It seems every time a place is built for all ages to go to and have a good time, the next thing you know it's torn down for another casino.
This park is a good place for families to enjoy and for young ones to find work. A lot of workers need the money to either help their families or to help pay for their education.
The article also stated that another park might be built, but it would probably not be as convenient for the locals or tourists.
I am a senior citizen who has been in this town for more than 25 years. For several years I have purchased a season pass for Wet 'n Wild. It's been a joy to watch the families enjoy themselves.
