Johnye Lou Banks
Johnye Lou Banks, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A retired bookkeeper in the oil industry, she was born March 25, 1930, in Dallas.
She is survived by two nephews, Dennis Banks of Dallas and Lee Banks of Austin, Texas; and one niece, Elizabeth Grimm of Denver.
No local services are scheduled. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is assisting Restland Memorial Park of Dallas with arrangements.
Patsy A. Barnett
Patsy A. Barnett, 48, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. She was born March 22, 1956, in St. Louis. A resident for 47 years, she was a hotel waitress.
She is survived by one daughter, Tanisha Barnett, one son, David Lester, and her mother, Joan Horne, all of Henderson; her father, Dick Lester, and one sister, Debbie Noel, both of Las Vegas; five brothers, Dicky Lester of Kent, Mich., Robert Lester, Larry Lester and Jesse Horne, all of Henderson, and Lance Lester of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Clifford Calais
Clifford Calais, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 10, 1920, in Cecilia, La. A resident for 14 years, he was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Christine Calais-Lozano of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 1-4 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Fern R. Davis
Fern R. Davis, 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 22, 1920, in Canada. A resident for 44 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Diane Payette of Oakville, Ontario; one son, Wayne Carter of Thorold, Ontario; one sister, Dorothy Councill of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Patrick J. Davis
Patrick J. Davis, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born March 17, 1922, in Castleton, Kan. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired executive in the transportation and leisure industry.
He is survived by one brother, John G. Davis of Portland, Ore.

Albert E. Dorfman
Albert E. Dorfman, 90, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 6, 1914, in Kentucky. A resident for many years, he was a public relations representative and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Dianna Benatz; and two grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Carole Gargiulo
Carole Gargiulo, 72, of Henderson died Oct. 22 in Henderson. She was born March 24, 1932, in New York City. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired New York City crossing guard.
She is survived by two daughters, Dianne Huenlich of New York and Stephanie Brue of Costa Mesa, Calif.; one brother, Cosimo T. Romanelli of Henderson; two sisters, Leonore Valente of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Marie Schaefer of Apex, N.C.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at 123 Mint Orchard Drive. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Myrna Ann Gruber
Myrna Ann Gruber, 67, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born June 25, 1937, in Springfield, Ohio. A resident for nine years, she was a retired U.S. Postal Service carrier and a member of American Association of Retired Persons.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Schoenherr and Heidi Cottam, both of Henderson; one son, Mark Canter of Garrett, Ind.; her mother, Alice Gruber, and two sisters, Regina Ratcliff and Martha Sanders, all of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, Bill Gruber of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Bob Gruber of Dayton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Fernette Maurine Honaker
Fernette Maurine Honaker, 90, of Silver City, N.M., died Wednesday in a New Mexico hospital. She was born Dec. 21, 1913, in Douglas, Wyo. A resident for 28 years, she was a retired teacher.
She is survived by three daughters, Jessica Scullion of Salem, Ohio, Roberta Karnes of Las Vegas and Crystal Gray of Silver City, N.M.; two sisters, Mae Gilbert of Albuquerque and Winifred Fay of Tucson; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. A memorial service will follow at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Trinity United Methodist Church, 6151 W. Charleston Blvd.
Robert Everette La Bo
Robert Everette La Bo, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 5, 1928, in Michigan. A resident for 10 years, he was an automotive supervisor and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; two daughters, Robin Limauro and Bonnie Kitzens; and five grandchildren.

Florence 'Penny' Lombardo
Florence "Penny" Lombardo, 83, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 27, 1921, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired assembler for an aircraft manufacturer.
She is survived by two sons, Charles J. Lombardo of Henderson and Phillip A. Lombardo of Chino Hills, Calif.; one sister, Rose Barberi of Rochester, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 3 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
Jerry Lee McCowan
Jerry Lee McCowan, 73, of Las Vegas died Oct. 20 in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 17, 1930, in England, Ark. A resident for 49 years, he was a retired contractor and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Clara; one daughter, Iris Orr, and two sons, Jerry Lee McCowan Jr. and Terry Dell McCowan, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Cloteen Thompkins of Porterville, Calif., and Sylvia Watkins of Visalia, Calif.; four brothers, James McCowan of Visalia and Bill McCowan, Dan McCowan and Larry McCowan, all of Porterville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-4 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Virginia McLaughlin
Virginia McLaughlin, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born July 4, 1924, in New York. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; three daughters, Kathleen Kotowicz of Las Vegas, Diane Stradling of New York City and Marilyn Butler of Greensboro, N.C.; one son, John McLaughlin of New York City; and two grandchildren.

Mary N. Randolph
Mary N. Randolph, 76, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local convalescent hospital. She was born Aug. 1, 1928, in Newellton, La. A resident for 51 years, she was a retired hotel housekeeper.
She is survived by one son, William Berry Sr., three sisters, Bobbie Owens, Dorothy Larry and Bennie Jackson, and one brother, George Larry, all of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Greater Evergreen Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park.
Frank Wolkowski
Frank Wolkowski, 50, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. A disabled janitor for the federal government, he was born Dec. 20, 1953, in Bayonne, N.J.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Wolkowski of Las Vegas and Anthony Wolkowski of Bayonne, N.J.; and one daughter, Gina Wolkowski of Brick, N.J.
