Information sought on missing woman

A 26-year-old Las Vegas woman is missing and Metro Police are seeking the public's help to find her.

Friends and co-workers of Theresa Insana called police to report the woman missing Thursday about 10 a.m. after they went to check on Insana at her home near Sahara Avenue and Town Center Drive and could not find her, police said.

The group told police they were concerned because Insana did not show up at work Wednesday and Thursday and it was unlike her to not call.

Insana's car was left in the garage and her purse and personal belongings were left inside the home, police said. Insana's dog was also in the home, police said. The group told police their friend would not leave without her dog.

Detectives tracked Insana's recent activities and said it appears she disappeared 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or Metro Homicide at 229-3521.

FHA approves railroad overpass

The Federal Highway Administration this week approved a grant to build an overpass above the Union Pacific railroad crossing at Craig Road near Interstate 15.

The $1 million grant will eliminate the street-level rail crossing that is used by roughly 60,000 vehicles a day and will ease access to Nellis Air Force Base, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation.

The department has not said when construction on the overpass will begin.
