Web site partners with AOL division

A division of America Online and VEGAS.com have launched a new Web site to deliver Spanish-language content about Las Vegas to Hispanic customers.
AOL Latino and Henderson-based VEGAS.com have launched the site at http://aol-latino.vegas.com, which also is accessible through AOL Keyword: Vegas Viajes.
Terms of the deal announced today were not disclosed.
Under the agreement, VEGAS.com is serving as the Spanish-language content provider for travel and e-commerce services related to Las Vegas.
The two companies say the deal will enable them to reach the rapidly growing market of the Hispanic traveler. Researchers say the growth of Hispanics using Internet travel sites outpaces the national average and that Las Vegas is the top domestic city visited by Hispanics living in the United States.
"We are excited to work with VEGAS.com as a new advertising partner to provide the most comprehensive and unparalleled Vegas travel and entertainment information available on the Web to our Spanish-speaking members," said Peter Blacker, vice president of international and multicultural AOL Media Networks in a statement issued on the deal.
"We're very pleased that America Online, a company steeped in members, content and technology history, recognizes the value of having VEGAS.com build, host and maintain AOL Latino's Vegas travel hub," Howard Lefkowitz, president of VEGAS.com, said in the announcement.
VEGAS.com, part of the Greenspun family of companies that also publish the Las Vegas Sun, launched its VEGAS.com en Espanol site just over a year ago.
