Nancy L. Curry
Nancy L. Curry, 91, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 8, 1913, in Pell City, Ala. A resident for five years, she was a retired grocery store owner.
She is survived by three daughters, Jessie L. Smith of Las Vegas, Minnie Wynn of Michigan and Helen Byers of Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Betsy J. Cushing
Betsy J. Cushing, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born May 23, 1934, in California. A resident of Boulder City and Las Vegas for 40 years, she was a real estate agent.
She is survived by one stepson, Jack Stuart; three daughters, Nancy, Randi and Patti; one stepdaughter, Tyra; one sister, Julie; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in Grace Community Church, 1150 Wyoming St., Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Donald C. Ecker Jr.
Donald C. Ecker Jr., 60, of Las Vegas died Oct. 14 in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 17, 1944, in Detroit. A resident for 48 years, he was a senior scientific associate for the federal government and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, J.L.; two sons, Ryan Ecker and Hunter Ecker, and one daughter, Brooke Ecker, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today and Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Abuwi E. Ferguson
Abuwi E. Ferguson, 26, of Las Vegas died Oct. 10 in Las Vegas. He was born March 18, 1978, in Virginia. A resident for 21 years, he was a laborer.
He is survived by his parents, Alonzo Hebron and Janice Ferguson; two brothers, Charles Ferguson and Arick Gant; and four sisters, LaTasha Ferguson, LaShawn White, LaKisha Hebron and Tamika Hebron.
Visitation was scheduled until 5 p.m. today in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Ram Church, 1401 S. Decatur Blvd., Suite 14. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Hyman and Sue Gold
Married couple Hyman Gold, 90, and Sue Gold, 70, of Las Vegas, died within hours of one another on Sunday in separate local hospitals. Hyman was born Aug. 26, 1914, in Cleveland. He was a retired musician. Sue was born Oct. 15, 1934, in Altus, Okla. A resident for 28 years, she was a homemaker and member of the Screen Actors Guild.
They are survived by one stepdaughter, Theresa Peeler of Benton, Tenn.; and one grandson, Alexander Gold of Melford, Mass.
Hyman is also survived by one sister, Rose Goldstein.
Sue is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Doreen Righter of Melford; and one sister, Vera Astarita of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 3 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations in Sue's name to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
George Hernandez
George Hernandez, 52, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born March 25, 1952, in Houston. A resident for eight years, he was a laborer.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Ella and William Prelle of Las Vegas; five daughters, Lisa Marie Hernandez, Krissy Jeanne Hernandez, and Grace Hernandez, Jamie Hernandez and Jennifer Hernandez, all of Buena Park, Calif.; four sisters, Sylvia Swick of Fort Worth, Texas, Rebecca Haskins of Las Vegas and Jeannie Robertson and Ella Muir, both of Henderson; and seven stepsisters, Janie Pinglton of Fort Worth, Patricia Tinsely of Sacramento, Linda Jean Ballard of Garden Grove, Calif., Barbara Starr of La Mirada, Calif., Cindy Coleman of Laguna Hills, Calif., Wanda Seward of Diamond, Calif., and Kathy Brown of Merced, Calif.

Philip Vincent Leon
Philip Vincent Leon, 48, of Henderson died Sept. 30 in Tallahassee, Fla. He was born in Tampa, Fla. A resident for many years, he was a neuro diagnostic technician.
He is survived by his mother, Doris Leon of Tallahassee; and two sisters, Linda Leon Wiggins of Tallahassee and Virginia L. Wiley of Riverview, Fla.
No local services are scheduled. Bevis Funeral Home, Tallahassee, handled arrangements.

Renee Marie McLindon
Renee Marie McLindon, 34, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in North Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Dec. 7, 1969, in Pittsburgh.
She is survived by her parents, James T. and Darlene A. McLindon of South Park, Pa.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Pittsburgh. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Dorothy Miller
Dorothy Miller, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 13, 1922, in Minneapolis. A resident for 54 years, she was a retired registered nurse for the Clark County Health District.
She is survived by her husband, Fred.

Robert J. Moran
Robert J. Moran, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 24, 1924, in Spokane, Wash. A resident for one year, he was a retired consultant for a mechanical engineering firm and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Michael J. Moran of North Las Vegas and Christopher P.H. Moran of Bellingham, Wash.; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Nancy Jean Rietz, 61, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born Dec. 26, 1942, in Oneida, N.Y. A resident for 22 months, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald; one son, Douglas of Fremont, Calif.; one daughter, Kristine of Scottsdale, Ariz.; her mother, Isabelle LaBalbo of Albuquerque; and two sisters, Kathy of Irving, Texas and Joanne of Albuquerque.

Norma Saffell, 65, of Henderson died Oct. 14 in Henderson. She was born Sept. 24, 1939, in Kanab, Utah. A resident for 38 years, she was an accounting assistant for the state government.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Marie Stolk, and two sons, James Michael Pectol and Arthur David Church III, all of Las Vegas; her mother, Kathleen Brinkerhoff of Glendale, Utah; two brothers, Charles Marvin Brinkerhoff of Cedar City, Utah, and Leon Reese Brinkerhoff of Glendale, Utah; four sisters, Marilyn Johnson of Fredonia, Ariz., Elaine Lamb of Washington, Utah, Ellen Sorensen of Cedar City and LaPriel Clark of Corrine, Utah; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was 1 p.m. today in Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, 5825 W. Eldora Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
