State Parole and Probation Department Administrator Edward G. Henderson has been reassigned after an arrest last week on a drunken driving charge after a two-vehicle collision in Henderson, police said.
Henderson, 52, was also suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance, believed to be medication, Officer Todd Rasmussen, Henderson Police spokesman, said.
The results of a blood test are still pending.
Police arrested Henderson about 9 p.m. Oct. 9 after a minor collision at Stepanie Street and Warm Springs Road. He has since been reassigned to a special projects post at the department, according to a spokeswoman who refused to comment further.
