HAMPTON, Iowa -- Century Casinos Inc. announced Monday it has signed an agreement with the owners of Landmark Gaming of Franklin County to become the co-applicant with the Franklin County Development Association for a new casino.
The Colorado-based Century said the groups will file an application with the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission to develop and operate a moored-barge casino, hotel and entertainment facility in Franklin County. The proposed project includes a 40,000-square-foot casino, 120-room hotel and 300 parking spaces.
A study estimates total development costs to be $67 million and projected first year net revenue of $72 million.
