Erica Frizzell and Annii Magliulo each registered a goal and an assist Sunday as Peter Johann Field as the UNLV women's team ran its home winning streak to eight matches with a 3-1 victory against Wyoming.

UNLV (10-3-2, 3-1) moved back into fist place in the Mountain West Conference with the victory. Wyoming's record fell to 7-5-4, 1-2.

The goal and assist for Magliulo, a senior mideifleder from Penngrove, Calif., moved her into a tie for first on the school's all-time career points list at 66, along with Anita Pedford (1998-2001).

UNLV's other goal Sunday was scored by freshman midfielder Jessica Destito.

Russians sweep

Anastasia Myskina and Nikolay Davydenko won singles championships at the Kremlin Cup at Moscow, then teamed with compatriots to capture the women's and men's doubles finals for a Russian sweep of all four titles.

Boone patriarch dies

Two-time all-Star Ray Boone, patriarch of a three-generation baseball family, died in a San Diego hospital after a long illness. Boone played in the major leagues from 1948-60 and was followed into the big leagues by son Bob and grandsons Bret and Aaron.

Sutton hobbled

Oklahoma State coach Eddie Sutton expects to be fully recovered from an offseason back injury in time for the Cowboys' season opener. Sutton, who cracked bones in his lower back in a fall, carried a wooden cane on the sideline during the Cowboys' open practice Saturday.

Top women chosen

Beach volleyball golf medalists Misty May and Kerri Walsh and golf great Annika Sorenstam were today named Sportswomen of the Year by the Women's Sports Foundation.
