Sibyl Beck
Sibyl Beck, 67, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. She was born April 2, 1937, in Georgia. A resident for 42 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; one daughter, Joye Walker of Henderson; three sons, Wayne Beck of Idaho, Greg Beck of Henderson and Troy Johnson of Boulder City; two sisters, Martha Ball and Dorothy Scott, both of Georgia; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
Bettie Lee English
Bettie Lee English, 81, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born Feb. 19, 1923, in Nebraska. A resident for 12 years, she was a UPS store owner-operator, worked in accounting, was a Navy veteran and a member of Sweet Adelines and Mensa.
She is survived by one son, Jonathan Riley English; and two grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Noreen J. Hedrick
Noreen J. Hedrick, 56, of Las Vegas died Oct. 8 in a local hospice. She was born Dec. 26, 1947. A resident for 15 years, she was a restaurant hostess.
She is survived by one son, Jason Hedrick.

Joseph A. Meehan Jr.
Joseph A. Meehan Jr., 78, of Pahrump died Friday in Las Vegas. A casino bartender, he was born May 4, 1926, in New Jersey.
He is survived by one daughter, Darla Nardus of Pahrump; and one son, Joseph A. Meehan III of Springfield, N.J.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in New Jersey. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Frederick L. Noll
Frederick L. Noll, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired government painting contractor, a Navy veteran and a member of Children's Service Guild.
He is survived by his wife, Maralyne; one son, Frederick William Noll; four daughters, Carole Viano, Theresa Hosmer, Jenny Baaske and Robin T. Navarro; one sister, Jenny Umberger; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 12:40 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Brett Ryan Owen
Brett Ryan Owen, 12, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A resident for two years, he was born March 27, 1992, in Colorado.
He is survived by his parents, Michael and Corinna; and three brothers, Brandon Barkey, Brevin Owen and Brock.
Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Josephine Ursua
Josephine Ursua, 54, of Las Vegas died Sept. 29, in Las Vegas. A hotel housekeeper, she was born Dec. 6, 1949, in the Philippines.
She is survived by two daughters, Lorna Ursua of Hong Kong and Cathy Ursua of the Philippines.
Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Saul H. Varela
Saul H. Varela, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 2, 1935, in Mexico City. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired attorney.
He is survived by his wife, Irmgard H. De Varela; one daughter, Karina Varela of Cancun, Mexico; two sons, Gabriel Varela and Marco Varela, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Salma H. Varela of Cancun; three brothers, Eduardo Varela of Mexico City, Alfonso Varela of Cancun and Emilio Varela of Washington, D.C.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be noon Wednesday at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Murrell L. West
Murrell L. West, 64, of Henderson died Wednesday. He was born July 4, 1940, in Texas. A resident for 45 years, he was a light and sound stage tech manager.
He is survived by his fiancee, Cathy Petty of Las Vegas; three sons, David West, Travis West and Scott West, all of Las Vegas; one daughter, Cathy Dietrich of Mississippi; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Eckankar Center, 3160 E. Desert Inn Road, Suite 14, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
Mary Westberg
Mary Westberg, 93, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 8, 1911, in Missouri. A resident for 15 years, she retired as minister from the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol Dawson of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday in Solid Rock Ministries, 2929 Cedar Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Leslie Zerlijng
Leslie Zerlijng, 55, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 30, 1949, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 34 years, he was a hotel security officer.
He is survived by his wife, Holly.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.
