Alliance Gaming Corp. has signed a multiyear licensing agreement with the developer and publisher of video games to develop a series of new slot machines.
Las Vegas-based Alliance's Bally Gaming and Systems unit announced today that it had signed a deal with Electronic Arts Inc., of Redwood City, Calif., to develop a series of games based on EA's Pogo.com online game Internet site.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"This agreement with EA fits perfectly into our strategic plan for expanding our game content to a broader demographic while at the same time diversifying our game content for our loyal players," said Alliance President and Chief Executive Officer Richard Haddrill in a statement issued about the agreement.
Alliance said the deal would enable it to develop slot games based on Pogo.com's game portfolio, which includes the titles Poppit!, Greenback Bayou, Swashbucks, Pop Fu, Tri-Peaks Solitaire, Dice Derby and Poppa Zoppa.
