MILWAUKEE BREWERS-Declined to exercise their 2005 contract option on SS Craig Counsell. Announced C Gary Bennett declined an outright assignment to their minor league camp and elected free agency. Claimed RHP Derrick Turnbow off waivers from the Anaheim Angels.
PITTSBURGH PIRATES-Announced RHP Mark Corey cleared waivers and is now a free agent.
