Herbert Bayer

Herbert Bayer, 87, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. He was born Sept. 28, 1917, in New York City. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired procurement officer for the federal government, a member of Bet Knesset Bamidbar and National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel L.; one daughter, Abbye Brenner of Tujunga, Calif.; one son, Leon Bayer of Woodland Hills, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

The family suggests donations to the City of Hope, 5600 W. Spring Mountain Road, Suite 208, Las Vegas, NV 89146.

Scott Brooks

Scott Brooks, 43, of Boulder City died Oct. 3 in Boulder City. He was born Nov. 2, 1960, in Burbank, Calif. A resident for 10 years, he was a roofer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Patricia Brooks of Henderson; and one brother, Michael Brooks of Tehachapi, Calif.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Loretta 'Lori' Cullerton

Loretta "Lori" Cullerton, 90, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 13, 1914, in Chicago. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired librarian.

She is survived by one daughter, Clarissa Erwin of Henderson; one brother, Casimir Frasz of Maine; and one grandchild.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Alan G. Cunningham

Alan G. Cunningham, 51, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 30, 1952, in Jonesboro, La. A resident for 25 years, he was a dealer and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Jacqueline Mayfield of Las Vegas; two sons, Jason A. Cunningham of Las Vegas and Alan G. Cunningham of Los Angeles; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is assisting Winnfield Funeral Home, Winnfield, La., with arrangements.

C. Wesley Furl

C. Wesley Furl, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 13, 1926, in Butler, Pa. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired truck driver, a World War II Army veteran and a retired member of Teamsters Local 631.

He is survived by one son, Lesley A. Furl of Jerseyville, Ill.; one daughter, Darla Murphy of Las Vegas; one brother, James Furl of Butler; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 4 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Herbert Harold Henninger

Herbert Harold Henninger, 56, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 15, 1947, in North Dakota. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired Air Force veteran.

He is survived by three sons, James, Scott and Brian; one daughter, Kristine; his mother, Nita Henninger; two brothers, Richard and Donald; one sister, Mary; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 3 p.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Celia Maria Kamper

Celia Maria Kamper, 51, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 7, 1953, in Havana. A resident for 38 years, she was a retired Air Force veteran.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin W.; one daughter, Celia Buhecker of Florida; two brothers, Jay Soto of California and Ramon Sotolongo of Venezuela; one sister, Gloria S. Mathis of Florida; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Jodi Lynn Leggio

Jodi Lynn Leggio, 35, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 12, 1969, in Grand Forks, N.D. A resident for 24 years, she was a clerk at a dry cleaners.

She is survived by her husband, John; one son, Michael Loyland, and her mother, Gloria Loyland, both of Henderson; and two sisters, Debbie Loyland of Grand Forks, N.D., and Gail Coffey of Henderson.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 4 p.m. service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite animal shelter.

Joy Mangiery

Joy Mangiery, 71, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A bookkeeper in the beverage industry, she was born Oct. 23, 1932, in New York.

She is survived by her husband, Jil.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in New Jersey. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Helen McClure

Helen McClure, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A nightclub cocktail waitress, she was born Dec. 6, 1927, in Pittsburgh.

She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Haney; and two sisters, Donna George of Las Vegas and Rita Burns of Pittsburgh.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Pittsburgh. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Isadore 'Port' Portnoff

Isadore "Port" Portnoff, 84, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born July 10, 1920, in Chicago. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired pool maintenance owner-operator and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Harriet; two sons, Howard Portnoff of Henderson and Michael Portnoff of Culver City, Calif.; one sister, Beth Winston of Culver City; one brother, Robert Portnoff of Henderson; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday in King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane.

Patricia Ann Schmidt

Patricia Ann Schmidt, 57, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 9, 1946, in New York. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker and a member of Ombudsman, a Navy wives club.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald James; three sons, Thomas Wayne Owen and Ronald James Schmidt II; two daughters, Tonia Marie Schmidt and Pamela Jean Stacy; her mother, Mary Jane Parrott; one brother, Peter Michael Parrott; and six grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Ina Lee Snyder

Ina Lee Snyder, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 21, 1928, in Bollinger County, Mo. A resident for 48 years, she was a retired elementary school teacher.

She is survived by her husband, Robert W.; two daughters, Angie Zohovetz of Las Vegas and Marlene Remington of St. George, Utah; one son, Robert Snyder of Red Oak, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today and 11 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
