Haunted houses
Freakling Bros. Inc. presents the following haunted houses around Las Vegas this month. Each runs from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, and from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. All are available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission to each is $10, or $24 for all three. 362-3327:
Castle Vampyre -- located at Sunset Station Hotel & Casino.
The Black Box -- at the Shopping Emporium on Rainbow Boulevard and Sahara Avenue.
The Mortuary -- at the United Artists Theatre on Rainbow Boulevard and Smoke Ranch Road.
'Bootacular Bash'
The Lit'l Scholar Preschool & Kindergarden will hold a Halloween-themed "Bootacular Bash 2004" from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 29 at 8961 Hillpointe Road. The event will include a variety of children's activities. Admission is free. 256-5300.
'Dracula'
Nevada Public Radio will present two showings of "Dracula: Pages From a Virgin's Diary" at 6 and 8 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Village Square Stadium 18 Regal Cinemas, at the corner of Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road. Tickets are $10. 258-9895.
'Alien Bash'
"Star Trek: The Experience" will host an "Alien Bash" from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Oct. 29 at the Las Vegas Hilton, 3000 Paradise Road. The event is for those 21 years of age and older, and alien attire is encouraged. Tickets are $49.99. 697-8753.
Halloween party
Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba! at the Fashion Show mall will host a Halloween party from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 27 at the corner of Frontier Avenue and Las Vegas Blvd. South. Admission is $15.
Haunted Reef
Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay will host the "Haunted Reef" all day Oct. 30. Staff will hand out free candy for children 12 and under, and a blood drive will be held from noon to 5 p.m., with donors receiving free admission to the "Haunted Reef." Tickets are $15.95 for adults and $9.95 for children. 632-4555.
Halloween ball
A Halloween ball will be held from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Oct. 29 at the Henderson Convention Center, 200 Water St. Tickets are $25, and money raised goes to the Las Vegas Chapter of One Hundred Black Men of America. 219-0634.
Curve party
Aladdin Resort & Casino's ultralounge Curve will celebrate Halloween with costume parties Oct. 29-31. Admission is $20. You must be 21 to enter. 933-3001.
'Nightmare'
Studio 54 will host the following Halloween-themed events this month:
Oct. 26 -- "Hallow-Eden," featuring DJ Frankie and DJ Jose 2 Hype.
Oct. 27 -- "Psycho-Tryst," featuring three shows on three levels.
Oct. 28 -- "38th annual Beaux Arts Costume Ball." Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. 384-2899.
Oct. 31 -- "Nightmare on 54th Street," a Halloween party.
Admission to Studio 54 is $10 Tuesdays through Thursdays and $20 on Fridays and Saturdays. Minimum age is 21.
Halloween dance
Boyd Coulter & the Good Times Band will perform for a Halloween dance from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Charleston Heights Arts Center ballroom, 800 S. Brush St. Dress in costume and dance to standards from the '40s to the '60s. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 the day of the dance. 229-6383.
Haunted Mansion
The Haunted Mansion can be visited from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. weeknights and from 6:30 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays until Oct. 31 in the Colonnade Plaza, one block north of I-215 on Eastern Avenue at Pebble Road. Tickets are $9 adults, $7 children under 16 (not recommended for children under 6). 897-4919.
Fright Dome
Fright Dome, a 5-acre amusement park located inside the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino, will be open the entire month Thursdays through Sundays. Admission is $29.95. 794-3939.
Halloween ball
The 9th annual Las Vegas Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball will be held from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Oct. 30 at the Event Center Las Vegas, 5325 S. Valley View Blvd. For more information, write to fantasyball@lvcm.com.
Halloween party
A Halloween party will be held at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 30 at the North Las Vegas Library, 2300 Civic Center Drive. Admission is free, and activities include spooky stories, games and more. Costumes are encouraged. 633-1070.
'Rocky Horror'
Frankie's Favorite Obsession, the Las Vegas performing cast of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," will perform a "Halloween Extravaganza" at 8 p.m. Oct. 30 at Tropicana Cinemas, 3330 E. Tropicana Ave. Tickets are $8. www.rockyhorrorlasvegas.com.
Halloween party
The Las Vegas Department of Parks & Community Services presents the third annual "Ghosts & Goblins of Nevada's Past" Halloween party from 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Clark County Museum, 1830 S. Boulder Highway. Admission is $2. 455-7955.
