Don 'Big Don B.' Berkshire
Don "Big Don B." Berkshire, 88, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 20, 1915, in Los Angeles. A resident for eight years, he was a retired Navy chief petty officer and World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Alice M.; one daughter, Irene Baier of California; one son, William R. Berkshire of Tarzana, Calif.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Services will be in California. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
David E. Bouchet
David E. Bouchet, 70, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 18, 1934, in Tacoma, Wash. A resident for seven years, he was a retired banker and was an alumnus of University of Oregon.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two sons, Daniel Herman Bouchet of San Jose, Calif., and Brian Bouchet of Ventura, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 8901 Del Webb Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 28369, Las Vegas, NV 89126, or Lutheran Social Services of Nevada, P.O. Box 1360, Las Vegas, NV 89125-1360.
Jeanette Rose Carpenter
Jeanette Rose Carpenter, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 20, 1929, in California. A resident for 16 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, James Carpenter and Kenneth Carpenter.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Shelly Fuller
Shelly Fuller, 29, of Las Vegas died Oct. 5 in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 28, 1975, in Oregon. A resident for 28 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Donald R.; one son, Victor Coretto; one daughter, Destiny Frances Fuller; her father, Rick Baker; her mother, Candy Schultz; and one brother, Ricky Baker.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Jerome M. Galdikas
Jerome M. Galdikas, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. He was born Sept. 30, 1930, in Chicago. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired railroad laborer.
He is survived by two sons, Jim Galdikas of Las Vegas and Mike Galdikas of Harvey, Ill.; one daughter, Janice Contreras of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
William B. King
William B. King, 82, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Jan. 5, 1922, in Munfordville, Ky. A resident for two years, he was a retired city government maintenance employee and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Cindy Yarnell of Henderson; one sister, Ruth Kottler of Corpus Christi, Texas; and two brothers, Ernest King of Amarillo, Texas, and Kenneth King of Letohatchee, Ala.
Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Virgil J. Mathis
Virgil J. Mathis, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 28, 1916, in Illinois. A resident for 28 years, he was a cabinet maker and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Dolores Spenard of Las Vegas; three grandchildren, Ken Spenard, Tom Spenard and Sharon Spenard; and two great-granddaughters, Rebecca Spenard and Marissa Spenard.
Visitation is scheduled 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Thursday in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
Thomas J. McNamara
Thomas J. McNamara, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 7, 1919, in New York City. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired airline ground equipment mechanic and a World War II Coast Guard veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Billie; one daughter, Kathleen McGirl, and one son, Robert McNamara, both of Henderson; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be 11:20 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Harry E. McKnight
Harry E. McKnight, 61, of Las Vegas died Oct. 4 in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 30, 1942, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired casino floorman, Navy Veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Cecelia; one daughter, Sherry; two brothers, Carl McKnight and Melvin McKnight; and one sister, Lorraine Swoger.

Edith M. Nicoletti
Edith M. Nicoletti, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born July 9, 1916, in Rockland County, N.Y. A resident for 42 years, she was a retired hotel hostess/cashier.
She is survived by one son, Sonny Nicoletti of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; two brothers, Angelino Cabello of California and Ralph Fava of Niagara Falls.; three sisters, Irma Chiodo and Julia Rotella, both of Niagara Falls, and Esther Bax of Las Vegas.
Services will be noon Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Helen Parr
Helen Parr, 88, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. She was born May 23, 1916, in Rock Island, Ill. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired credit office manager.
She is survived by two sons, Earl H. Parr Jr. and Donald Parr, both of Henderson; one daughter, Sandra Parr of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Mountain View Assembly of God, 3901 E. Bonanza Road. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
William L. Pennington
William L. Pennington, 95, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 1, 1909, in Pueblo, Colo. A Las Vegas resident of 50 years, he was a railroad company engineer and a member of Masonic lodges 32 and 44.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Ruth Pennington of El Cajon, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Stephen Jeffrey Smith
Stephen Jeffrey Smith, 59, of Las Vegas died Monday. A cook and a Navy veteran, he was born May 31, 1945, in Springfield, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Jean; three sons, Stephen Jacob Smith of Henderson, Daniel E. Smith of Arizona and Jesse Smith of California; one daughter, Samantha Smith of Henderson; his mother, Betty Donaldson, and one brother, Keith Donaldson, both of Springfield; and one sister, Diane Wolford of Newark, Ohio.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson.
E. Byron 'Bud' Stolle
E. Byron "Bud" Stolle, 91, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 21, 1912, in Evansville, Ill. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired power executive.
He is survived by one niece, Katheryn Nelson of Yorkville, Ill.; and one nephew, John Norton of Orlando, Fla.
Visitation is scheduled 3-5 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
Richard Sergio Tranilla
Richard Sergio Tranilla, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 24, 1921, in Cebu, Philippines. A resident for 16 years, he was a Korean War Army sergeant.
He is survived by his wife, Sophie G.; three sons, Richard S. Tranilla Jr. of Kapaa, Hawaii, Patrick Tranilla of Pearl City, Hawaii, and Thomas Tranilla of Bremerton, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
