A demolition crew used an excavator to tear down the Turnberry Place sales office at the upscale, high-rise residential community Monday. The 12,000-square-foot Turnberry Place sales office was demolished after being used for condo sales for five years on the development's 15-acre property. The $4 million sales office was torn down to make way for the fourth and final 40-story tower at the high-rise residential community.
Completion of the final tower is scheduled for September 2006. Florida-based Turnberry, in a joint venture with MGM Mirage, also is developing the Residences at MGM Grand, a condo-hotel behind the MGM Grand. Construction on the Residences began this month.
