Charles Bianco
Charles Bianco, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 3, 1921, in New Rochelle, N.Y. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired city firefighter and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Maryann; three sons, Charles Bianco of Louisville, Ky., Richard Altamirano of New York City and Richard Moffett of Las Vegas; one brother, Anthony Bianco of Harrington, Del.; one sister, Barbara Fields of Pacifica, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
David Colwell
David Colwell, 77, of Henderson died Oct. 4 in Henderson. He was born June 25, 1927, in Rush Springs, Okla. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired contractor, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Masons, Henderson Saddle Association and American Quarterhorse Association.
He is survived by two sons, David R. Colwell Jr. of Broomfield, Colo., and Dale P. Colwell of Henderson; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9-10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests donations to Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Scott E. Griffin
Scott E. Griffin, 31, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 29, 1973, in Dearborn, Mich. A resident for nine years, he was an auto salesman.
He is survived by his wife, Christina Zarrelli; his parents, Karen and Thomas Griffin; two brothers, Michael Papler and Stephen Griffin; and two sisters, Dawn Frizzell and Nicole Harris.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.
George Edward Parshall
George Edward Parshall, 86, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 26, 1918, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for 29 years, he was a retired photographer in the aerospace industry and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Glen Parshall and Bruce Parshall, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Ardis Parshall of Orem, Utah; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Christopher Parshall Scholarship Fund, 6454 Soaring Hills Court, Las Vegas, NV 89110.
William J. Pennington
William J. Pennington, 95, of Las Vegas died Sunday. He was born April 1, 1909, in Pueblo, Colo. A resident for 50 years, he was a Union Pacific Railroad engineer and a member of Masonic Lodges 28 and 44.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Ruth Pennington of El Cajon, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Jann Reizner
Jann Reizner, 52, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 24, 1952, in Massachusetts. A resident for 34 years, she was a public school teacher.
She is survived by two daughters, Amy Cummins and Mattie Cummins, and her mother, Rolene Reizner, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Gale Levine of Hopkinton, Mass.; and two brothers, Alan Reizner of Austin, Texas, and Adam Reizner of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.
The family suggests donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 4850 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 27, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
Joseph J. Treadwell Jr.
Joseph J. Treadwell Jr., 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local rehabilitation center. He was born July 31, 1931, in Rose Hill, N.C. A resident for 23 years, he was a hotel utility porter and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Gorden-Treadwell; four sons, Kenneth of Los Angeles and Jeffery, Koatha and Darryl, all of Las Vegas; four daughters, Patricia, Elsie, Toni and Kelli, and one sister, Mary F. Corey, all of Las Vegas; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Martin B. Zelkin
Martin B. Zelkin, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 9, 1927, in New York. A resident for nine years, he was a restaurateur, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Masons, Scottish Rite and Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; one son, Mitchell Zelkin; one daughter, Susan Pearl; one brother, Bernice Solomon; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
