Louis A. Andrade

Louis A. Andrade, 88, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 4, 1916, in Leon Mexico. A resident for eight years, he was a retired steel worker and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Gregory R. Andrade; four brothers, Joseph Andrade, Frank Andrade, Manuel Andrade and Jesse Andrade; three sisters, Juanita Hidalgo, Eva Tello and Jenny Deareal; and four grandchildren

Pending services will be in Chicago. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

W. John Budd

W. John Budd, 81, of Boulder City died Wednesday in Boulder City. He was born Feb. 4, 1923, in Lima, Ohio. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired maintenance supervisor for the federal government, a World War II Army veteran, and a member of the American Legion and Elks.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine M.; one daughter, Barbara Bennett, and two sons, William John Budd and Douglas Budd, all of Boulder City; one sister, Jeanne Harshman of Boulder, Utah; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Boulder City Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.

James Collins

James Collins, 44, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 9, 1960, in Las Vegas. A resident for 30 years, he was a self-employed mechanic and was a member of Odd Fellows of Carson City.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Collins; his father, Clyde Collins of Carson City; one brother, Greg Collins of Corona, Calif.; and two sisters, Ginger Tamplin of Corona, Calif., and Karen Roberts of Las Vegas.

Services are scheduled 9 a.m. Saturday at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.

Glen Grayson

Glen Grayson, 49, of Las Vegas died Monday in local hospital. He was born Feb. 19, 1955, in Greenville, Miss. A resident for 41 years, he was a convention center porter.

He is survived by one daughter, Nicole Grayson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; his father, Johnnie Grayson, one brother, Kenny Grayson, three sisters, Margo Shepard, Terry McElroy and Veronica Bass, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m.-7 p.m. Sunday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Thomas and Jones, followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Margaret E. Johnson

Margaret E. Johnson, 72, of Henderson died Thursday in Henderson. She was born Jan. 25, 1932, in Alabama. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Merlyn; three sons, Shane Johnson of Arlington Heights, Ill., Shaun Johnson of Gernee, Ill., and Tristan Johnson of Wood Dale, Ill.; one daughter, Heather Mennspaghetti of Naperville, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Monday at Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Services will be at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Raymond Clyde Kozak

Raymond Clyde Kozak, 52, of Henderson died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 4, 1952, in California. A resident for 13 years, he was a maintenance engineer for the water district, an Army veteran and member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Deborah; two daughters Katie Hill and Heidi Hill, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 5 p.m. services Saturday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will be private.

Harry E. McKnight

Harry E. McKnight, 61, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 30, 1942, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired casino floorman, Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Cecelia; and two brothers, Carl and Lee.

Mariette A. Parent

Mariette A. Parent, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 11, 1927, in St. Malo, Manitoba. A resident for 39 years, she was retired federal government accountant and a member of the YMCA.

She is survived by her husband, Robert A.; four sisters, Lise Malia and Lucille Lavigne, both of Berlin, N.H., Jacqueline Gagnon of Methun, Mass., and Mona Gagnon of Concord, N.H.

Visitation is scheduled 1-6 p.m. Sunday at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne, followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

The family suggests donations to St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way.

Vera Mae Phillips

Vera Mae Phillips, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 5, 1923, in Oklahoma. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, David; three daughters, Geneva Phillips, Veda Schwerd and Linda Phillips; one sister Ruby Wilie; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Cordell C. 'Jack' Van Noy Jr.

Cordell C. "Jack" Van Noy Jr., 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local Hospital. He was born Nov. 14, 1931, in Los Angeles. A resident for seven years, he was a retired president of a medical supply company, Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of Canyon Gate Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; one son, Brad Van Noy of San Diego; two daughters, Cheri Miller of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Carol Pozzo of St. Louis; one stepdaughter Tracy Christensen of Spokane, Wash.; one sister, Sharon Van Raden of McCall, Idaho; one brother Carlyle Van Noy of Denver; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Saturday at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Michael J. Worthen

Michael J. Worthen, 56, of Las Vegas died Tuesday. He was born June 16, 1948, in Los Angeles. A resident for 45 years, he was a railroad conductor and a member of the United Transportation Union.

He is survived by his wife, Dea; his mother, Thais Worthen of Los Angeles; and one sister, Karen.

A Memorial Service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Sunday at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
