Letter: Glazer deserves praise

I couldn't disagree more with Ron Kantowski's Oct. 5 column in which he takes Tampa Bay Buccaneers owner Malcolmn Glazer to task for not renegotiating disgruntled wide receiver Keenan McCardell's contract.
One of the major problems with professional sports is this willy nilly renegotiating of contracts. Whatever happened to the sanctity of the contract? The only thing that guarantees a level playing field in sports (and the law) is the rules. Too bad the Browns weren't able to re-negotiate Tim Couch's (or Courtney Brown's or Gerard Warren's) contract due to his subpar performance.
I didn't hear any of these other prima donnas whining when they signed their contracts. I think Mr. Glazer should be applauded, not ridiculed. Nothing in my comments should be construed as sympathy for the muti-billionaire, Glazer; but what's right is right. Anyway, it's too late, the owners long ago let the inmates run the asylum.
