In a story in Sunday's edition the Sun misstated some comments from pollster Kate Stewart of the Washington-based polling firm Belden Russonello & Stewart, which conducted a poll of the 3rd Congressional District race for the Sun, Channel 8 and KNPR. In that race the poll included more very likely voters who identified themselves as Republicans than Democrats, even though there are more registered Democrats in the district. Stewart said the difference was that the poll reflects likely voters rather than registered voters. It so happens that in this poll,more likely voters identified themselves as Republicans than Democrats, she said. The Sun regrets the error.
