Author to present reading at Barrick
Paula Morris, author of the award-winning novel "Queen of Beauty," will present a fiction reading at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at UNLV's Barrick Museum Auditorium, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway.
The reading is free and open to the public.
Also, South of the Ganges River Music Festival will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday in UNLV's Performing Arts Center.

Ralston to address political marketing
Jon Ralston will talk about political campaign marketing at the October American Marketing Association at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Lawry's the Prime Rib, 4043 Howard Hughes Parkway, followed by the panel presentation.
Admission is $25 for members; $30 for non-member; walk-in cost is $30 for members and $35 for nonmembers.
