Daniel G. Bechtol

Daniel G. Bechtol, 52, of Bland, Mo., died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born May 9, 1952, in Coshocton, Ohio. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired Metro Police officer with 24 years of service and was a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran who served for 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine B.; two daughters, Kimberly Svedberg and Carla Lozano, one son, Rob Bechtol, and one stepson, Ron Dillion, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Opal Bechtol, and his father, Leonard Bechtol, both of Warsaw, Ohio; two brothers, Doug Bechtol of Las Vegas and Donald Bechtol of Coshocton, Ohio; two sisters, Marg Hindel of Frazeysburg, Ohio, and Mona Russell of Warsaw; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11:30 a.m. service Monday in the LDS Mustang and Cheyenne chapel. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Bond Clinic.

Ronald William Bergdorf

Ronald William Bergdorf, 81, of Laughlin died Wednesday in Laughlin. He was born Feb. 28, 1923, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. A resident for many years, he was a tool and die maker.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; one daughter, Marilyn Reilly of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two sons, Ronald Bergdorf Jr. and Dennis Bergdorf, both of California; one sister, Katherine Crawford of Akron, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be noon Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Laughlin. Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Val S. Crokie

Val S. Crokie, 55, of Boulder City died Wednesday in Boulder City. He was born Jan. 22, 1949, in Bucyrus, Ohio. A resident for 15 years, he was a laborer and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Gerry; three sons, James Crokie, Steven Crokie and Randy Crokie, all of Boulder City; one sister, Debbie L. Thomas of Henderson; and two grandchildren.

Juanita A. Greene

Juanita A. Greene, 92, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 24, 1911, in Lewisville, Ark. A resident for 14 years, she was a retail saleswoman.

She is survived by one son, Travers A. Greene of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Anne Gurniak

Anne Gurniak, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 13, 1919, in New York City. A resident for 35 years, she was retired and was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Josephine Foster and Elizabeth Gurniak, both of Las Vegas; one son, George Gurniak of La Crescenta, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Manuela R. Hampton

Manuela R. Hampton, 43, of Las Vegas died Sept. 16, in Lynnville, Ind. She was born March 20, 1961, in Swartzwald, Germany. A resident for four years, she was an Army sergeant first class.

She is survived by her husband, Ken; one son, Martin Hampton of Las Vegas; and one brother, Charles Ross of Austin, Texas.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Grace Healey

Grace Healey, 96, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A secretary in the communications industry and a resident for many years, she was born May 17, 1908, in New York.

She is survived by one daughter, Joy Mangieri of Las Vegas.

Marie G. Horgen

Marie G. Horgen, 95, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. She was born May 7, 1909, in Kiefer, Okla. A resident for 56 years, she was a retired showroom waitress.

She is survived by one daughter, Bobbie Hayes of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Cameron L. Hurick

Cameron L. Hurick, 42, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 1, 1961, in Poplar, Mont. A resident for 40 years, he was a vending machine owner-operator.

He is survived by two sisters, Shannon Jaramillo and Lorelei Ruff, both of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday in Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Road. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Harold B. Leckburg

Harold B. Leckburg, 81, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in North Las Vegas. He was born March 2, 1923, in Pennsylvania. A resident for many years, he was a laborer for a steel company.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta; and one son, Donald Leckburg of North Las Vegas.

JoAnn Mancino

JoAnn Mancino, 65, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born March 16, 1939, in Easton, Pa. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; four daughters, Tammy Jablecki of San Diego, Cheresse Mancino and Michelle Miller, both of Henderson, and Cheryl Baker of Texas; one son, Frank Mancino Jr. of Simi Valley, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Wallace J. Russell

Wallace J. Russell, 75, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 31, 1929, in Burbank, Calif. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a landscaping company and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Jaye A. Deater of Cordelia, Calif., and Jody A. Wolfe of Reno; two sons, Bruce T. Russell of Simi Valley, Calif., and D. Phillip Russell of Pollock Pines, Calif.; one sister, Jane Russell of Santa Maria, Calif.; three brothers, Thomas Russell and Jamie Russell, both of Colville, Wash., and Kenneth Russell of Prescott, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Gabriel James Rubio Sr.

Gabriel James Rubio Sr., 39, of Las Vegas died July 21 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 2, 1964, in Colorado. A resident for many years, he was a cabinetmaker.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria; one son, Gabriel Jr.; one daughter, Vanessa; four brothers, Anthony, John, Joe and Richard; and five sisters, Pat, Charlotte, Frances, Andrea and Margaret.
