A Metro Police officer was involved in a head-on collision as he was making a left turn onto Campbell Drive from West Charleston Boulevard about 3:40 p.m. Thursday.
Metro's traffic division was still investigating the collision, a police spokesman said.
Police said Jennifer Jumara, 23, driving a Dodge Durango, may have entered the intersection on a red light, colliding with Officer Albert Beas' patrol car.
Beas had a small cut on his forehead and some swelling around one of his wrists and his thumb. Jumara complained of aches in her back and neck, police said.
