Letter: President Bush’s priority should be U.S. citizens

WEEKEND EDITION
October 2 - 3, 2004
The only subject President Bush can talk about is the war on Iraq and the freedom of the Iraqi people. What about the Americans? I am tired of hearing how we are going to build Iraq when our own country and people barely have enough money to live on.
Why don't we hear more about Osama bin Laden, who is plotting more attacks against the United States? How can anyone think we are safer against terrorism when he is still out there?
Let's stop worrying about the Iraqi people, who obviously don't want our help, and start helping the middle-class American citizens.
