Ten Strip resort rooftops will become launching pads for fireworks on New Year's Eve for what is being called the largest pyrotechnic show in the city's history.
Representatives of organizations planning "America's Party" on the Las Vegas Strip were scheduled to unveil additional details today.
The traditional New Year's Eve bash, hailed this year as a kickoff to Las Vegas' centennial celebration, will be produced by Fireworks by Grucci of New York, which plans a 5-mile fireworks display and a choreographed show of high-intensity lights and lasers.
