Steven Charles Allen

Steven Charles Allen, 55, of Las Vegas died Nov. 17 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 21, 1948, in Rhode Island. A resident for 15 years, he was a government technical engineer and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Nick Allen of Las Vegas; and his mother, Loretta Allen of Texas.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

Stella Brecheisen

Stella Brecheisen, 93, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. A retired hardware store clerk, she was born Dec. 10, 1910, in Waukegan, Ill.

She is survived by one daughter, Gail Truitt of Las Vegas.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

Gino Gagliardi

Gino Gagliardi, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born July 12, 1926, in Trinidad, Colo. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired school administrator and a World War II Navy veteran.

Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services and burial will be in Trinidad.

David F. Green

David F. Green, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 11, 1928, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for six years, he was a retired government draftsman, a veteran of the Naval Reserves and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Donna G.; and one brother, Cloyd Green of Kansas City.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Calanthe N. Guesman

Calanthe N. Guesman, 84, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in North Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 23, 1920, in Red River, N.M. A resident for 38 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Northstar chapter.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Wayne Jr.; two sons, James Edward Guesman and John Wayne Guesman III, and one daughter, Elizabeth Guesman, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Kathleen Walker and Harriett Marchek, both of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Guadalupe Hernandez-Guerrero

Guadalupe Hernandez-Guerrero, 51, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born March 30, 1953, in Mexico. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Jorge; two sons, George Hernandez Jr. and Frank Hernandez, two daughters, Yanira Carranza and Diana Hernandez, and one sister, Rosa Guerrero, all of Las Vegas; five brothers, Leonardo Guerrero of Wasco, Calif., and Carlos Guerrero, Jesus Guerrero, Aaron Guerrero and Horacio Guerrero, all of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Guy Mitchell Martin

Guy Mitchell Martin, 45, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 16, 1959, at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. A resident for 30 years, he was a tow truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; three sons, Adam Sylvia-Martin of Las Vegas, Timothy Sylvia-Martin of Byron, Ga., and David Martin of Palmdale, Calif.; one daughter, Melinda Martin of Palmdale; his mother, Liz Martin of Las Vegas; four sisters, Kelley Bacon of North Las Vegas and Anne Martin, Regina Youdelis and Tina Mackie, all of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the LDS chapel at Hammer Lane and Goldfield Street. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Elmer E. Plum

Elmer E. Plum, 89, of Henderson died Thursday in Henderson. He was born June 20, 1915, in Lovila, Iowa. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a storage complex and a member of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; two daughters, Pamela Plum of Henderson and Angela Guerra of Las Vegas; two sons, James H. Plum of Polo, Mo., and Dr. David E. Plum of Savannah, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be in Savannah. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Elisa R. Portillo

Elisa R. Portillo, 86, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born March 29, 1918, in Mexico. A resident for 42 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Olga Ibarra, and four sons, Leonard Portillo, Salvador Portillo, Heriberto Portillo and Javier Portillo, all of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

George W. Smith

George W. Smith, 87, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1916, in San Francisco. A resident for 51 years, he was a musician and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine; one daughter, Dorothy Sterrett of Las Vegas; one stepson, Owen Hughes of Cedar City, Utah; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Jay R. Spittell

Jay R. Spittell, 52, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 1, 1952, in Attleboro, Mass. A resident for 21 years, he was an installer in the construction industry.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; one son, Jason Spittell of Las Vegas; his father, Harvey Spittell of Henderson; and six brothers, Steven Spittell of Gilbert, Ariz., Glenn Spittell and Craig Spittell, both of Las Vegas, Peter Spittell of Chino, Calif., Ross Spittell of Henderson and Mark Spittell of The Colony, Texas.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

George W. White

George W. White, 63, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born April 29, 1941, in St. Louis. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired real estate broker and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Bryan K. White, and one daughter, Stephanie White, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Harold White Jr. of St. Louis, Donald White of Chicago and Michael White of Hawaii; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
