Letter: Casino fireworks shook neighbors

The thunderous fireworks from the Suncoast's fourth-anniversary celebration shook our neighborhood. I live in Peccole Ranch and felt sorry for my neighbors who had pets. I heard howling and yelping and my neighbor saw terrified dogs bolting through our walking park.
The casino claims to have given the community notice, but it took us by surprise. I feel that local casinos should not do fireworks so close to homes. The fire department and City Council should not allow permission to these casinos. My neighbor's dog was traumatized and shook in fright.
