ROTC to help victims of violence
Clark High School's Navy ROTC unit will help victims of domestic violence by holding a donation drive 9 a.m.-3 p.m. today and Saturday at the Fountains Shopping Center, 6135 W. Sahara Ave. ROTC cadets will accept donations of used clothing and small household items.
All donations will help Safe Nest, a nonprofit organization that helps victims of domestic violence.

Duffle-bag drive for teens planned
The Valley Automall is seeking donations of more than one hundred oversized duffle bags for local foster teens who are being cared for by the state Department of Family Services.
The deadline for donations of the duffle bags is Dec. 17 and can be dropped off at any of the 15 Valley Automall dealerships, located in Henderson off of U.S. 95 at Auto Show Drive.
The Auto Mall is decorated with holiday lights, and between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Dec. 1, 10 and 11, horse-drawn carriage rides will be available, and Christmas carolers will stroll through the different dealerships dressed in "Dickens characters."
Las Vegas Councilman Michael Mack invites residents
