ANAHEIM ANGELS-Purchased the contracts of RHP Ervin Santana, LHP Joe Saunders, C Jeff Mathis, and INF Alberto Callaspo from Arkansas of the Texas League and the contract of RHP Steven Shell from Rancho Cucamonga of the California League.
KANSAS CITY ROYALS-Added RHP Ambiorix Burgos, C Justin Huber, RHP Devon Lowery and 3B Mark Teahen to the 40-man roster.
MINNESOTA TWINS-Purchased the contracts of RHP Travis Bowyer, LHP Francisco Liriano and 1B Garrett Jones from New Britain of the EL, RHP Scott Tyler from Quad Cities of the Midwest League and LHP David Gassner from Rochester of the IL. Promoted Rick McWane to trainer and Dave Pruemer to assistant trainer.

CHICAGO CUBS-Purchased the contracts of LHP Russ Rohlicek and C Geovany Soto from West Tenn of the Southern League.
COLORADO ROCKIES-Named Tom Probst director of medical operations, Keith Dugger athletic trainer and Scott Gehret assistant athletic trainer.
