Education summit planned Saturday
Friday, Nov. 19, 2004 | 9:04 a.m.
The Clark County School Board will host an education summit Saturday for members of the community to voice their opinions about class size, funding, safety, teacher quality and curriculum.
These topics were spotlighted earlier this fall in a series of public meetings held throughout the Clark County School District. As part of an ongoing initiative, the School Board is collecting community input to help determine the district's priorities.
Saturday's daylong session will be led by education expert Ed Barlow, who has consulted with numerous national organizations.
The public is invited to attend the summit, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Las Vegas Academy Performing Arts Center, Ninth Street and Clark Avenue.
