Magical Forest opens Wednesday
Opportunity Village, 6300 W. Oakey Blvd., will hold its 13th annual Magical Forest Wednesday through Dec. 30 with more lights, displays and trees.
All proceeds help fund and develop vocational and social programs for the mentally and physically disabled.
Sponsored in part by KB Home and Nevada Power and themed "All the Creatures Were Stirring," this season's highlights include: 3 million lights; 500 planted pine trees; 50 displays; two passenger trains; a carousel; a gingerbread ballroom; a parade three times nightly; a gift cabin featuring toys, holiday apparel and candy.
Henderson post offices
are holding their annual Toys for TotsChristmas gift drive 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. through Dec. 18 at 404 Boulder Highway and 1575 Horizon Ridge Parkway.
Clark High School's Navy ROTC
unit will help victims of domestic violence by holding a donation drive 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 26 and Nov. 27 at the Fountains Shopping Center, 6135 W. Sahara Ave., to benefit Safe Nest. Call 877-0133, Ext. 228.
