Ethel M readies Light the Night
Ethel M Chocolates invites the public to share in the 11th annual Light the Night Cactus Garden experience Thursday through Jan. 3. From sundown to 10 p.m. the Ethel M Chocolates Botanical Cactus Garden, Two Cactus Garden Drive in Henderson, will be illuminated seven days a week.
More than 250,000 lights will color the evening sky each night in what has become a tradition for Las Vegas Valley residents and visitors alike. Call 458-8864.
Entries due for holiday decorating
The Henderson Commemorative Beautification Commission is calling for entries for its 2004 outdoor holiday decorating contest. Entries must be received by 5 p.m. Wednesday and are open to the first 50 submissions.
There is no cost to participate.
Any home or business located within Henderson city limits is eligible to enter. Entry categories include residential, group, commercial and senior community. Residential entries must be in one of the following divisions: use of lights, children's theme, patriotic or other.
Contest winners will be announced at 6 p.m. Dec. 13, at Henderson's annual tree lighting ceremony. Winners will receive awards commemorating their achievement.

is accepting firefighter applications through Nov. 19. Applications may be submitted at the Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Pkwy, or online at www.accessclarkcounty.com. For more information, call 455-2576.
The North Las Vegas Library and Medicare Today
